Your Blendtec Blender Jar is a patented design with cutting edge technology. From the square shape of the jar to the two-prong wingtip design of the stainless steel blade. It's all engineered to blend everything more thoroughly and quickly.

To ensure you receive maximum jar life, please follow these instructions:

1. Do not store food items in the jar or soak the jar for any extended period of time.

2. After each use simply wash the Blendtec jar and lid in hot water (be sure to use hot water as this will help prevent sugar buildup that comes from blending smoothies and other high sugar drinks), rinse and then shake excess water from the jar or towel dry. You can also clean the jar by filling it with 1 - 2 cups of hot water and 1 drop of dish soap and then running the Blendtec machine with the jar on the motor base on a low speed for one cycle. After cleaning, rinsing and drying the jar, replace the jar on the blender base so it is ready for your next use.

a. If the jar is being stored upside down, be sure to shake excess water from the jar so no water collects around the drive shaft.

3. The jar may be washed in a dishwasher if placed on the to rack only. It is recommended the "heated Drying" option be turned off.

4. If you're not using your jar daily, before each use, reach under the bottom of the jar and turn the drive shaft for 5-10 seconds. This will help keep the seal in good shape and prolong the life of the jar. If the shaft does not spin freely, add some hot water to the jar then spin the shaft by hand until it begins to spin freely.

5. During blending some vibration is normal. There is no need to hold the Blendtec jar.
