The Harsch ceramic lid sits in a reservoir in the top rim of the Harsch pot. This seals the Harsch pot with an airlock. This water seal lets gases out of the Harsh pot and no air in.

Many other fermenting crock Pots create a pasty white kahm yeast where as the Harsch Pot does not.

Your Harsch pot will take 4-6 weeks to complete the fermenting process.
