Chinese White Pekoe Tea - Loose Leaf
The Chinese White Pekoe Tea is a loose leaf tea that comes in 1/4 and 1/2 pound packages.
Where it is grown
Our Chinese White Pekoe tea comes from a small 2-acre farm in the Fujian Province of China. It is in this mountainous region at approximately 3,500 feet that the peaceful tea gardens cultivate this delicious tea. Every late March, the gardens produce perfect light-green and white tea leaves.
Our white tea is neither oxidized nor steamed once picked. Instead they are dried, which offers a balanced, mild, and sweet cup.

When will my order ship?
We prepare and package your tea after we receive your order to insure you receive the freshest tea possible. We do not package or ship tea on Saturday or Sunday. Tea orders ship on a week day after the day we receive your order. We can not ship tea and coffee orders to a P.O. Box address because we ship your tea and coffee order via FedEx from Georgia. We will email the tracking number to you once we receive it from our roaster.
How to brew a perfect cup of tea.
Use 1 teaspoon, or 2 if you like it stronger, of tea per 1 cup of water.
White tea should be steeped in water that is cooler than boiling. It can be as hot as 175 degrees. Water that is higher than 175 degrees will damage the leaves leaving your white tea with a bitter taste. Steep this tea for 3 minutes for best results.
How to store my tea leaves.
Once you open your bag of tea from VeggieSensations.com put the tea leaves, or the opened package of tea, into an air tight container or package. Place that sealed package or container in a dark, dry cupboard.
Black tea will stay fresh in an air tight container for up to 2 years. All other teas will last less than 2 years. Your tea is past it's prime when it no longer has the fragrant aroma you could smell when you purchased it. They, also, will either have a muted taste or a bitter taste.
